A film with the Lava improvisation group, Teaterstudio Jens. The film they have produced for the Ingmar Bergman festival is a family drama set at a country manor. The actors base their interpretations on characters in Bergman’s films and they are working without a script. First each actor decided on a role to play; then they improvised the plot during shooting.
Teaterstudio Jens
Teaterstudio Jens is the Lava drama group. They work both with improvisation and theatre sports. The members are between the ages of 17 and 24, all with a background in music, drama or the arts. It started in autumn 1997 and the members have developed their own technique inspired by Keith Johnstone. Their work is based on spontaneity and fun, exploring both the serious and the comical side of everyday life.
